Ship Drone Surveys

Drone surveys are completed inside a ship’s ballast / cargo tanks; delivering close-up structural assessments. This reduces reliance on costly and time consuming forms of survey preparation such as staging and scaffolding. In addition to the favourable cost and time implications passed on to the ship owners, it also greatly improves safety for the inspectors.

Our UAV's HD camera provides exceptional image quality, allowing efects and cracks to be identified with a high degree of accuracy and confidence. This high resolution data is then then analysed and presented in a comprehensive survey report, tailored to the requirements of the client and the particularities of the ship.

Marine Inspection Services is currently developing a way to use a drone to perform thickness measurements.
